President’s Message

Welcome to the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Association-UK, a dedicated organisation committed to supporting and unifying Ugandan nurses and midwives living and working in the United Kingdom. Our mission is guided by the principle of “strength in unity,” as we strive to promote the health, well-being, and social welfare of our members while actively engaging with our local diaspora communities.

At UNMA-UK, we collaborate closely with the UK health sectors and the Ministry of Health in Uganda to address health inequalities, enhance capacity building initiatives, and showcase the valuable contributions of diaspora nurses within the National Health Service (NHS). Through partnerships and advocacy efforts, we aim to drive positive and impactful changes in the healthcare landscape.

We value the importance of collaboration and unity, which is why we actively engage with other International Nurses and Midwives Associations in the UK to foster cooperation and facilitate meaningful advancements in the field of nursing and midwifery.

As the President of UNMA-UK, I encourage all Ugandan nurses and midwives in the UK to join our association. Together, we can amplify our collective voice, support one another, and work towards a brighter future for our profession, communities and Uganda as a country of origin. Remember, united we stand, and divided we fall. Let us embrace the power of unity and solidarity as we continue to make a difference in the lives of our members and the broader healthcare community. #StrengthInUnity.
